On November 2, 2012 (All Souls Day in the Catholic calendar) our precious Carmen Marie went home to her Father in Heaven. Just 1 week after discovering how sick she was, and only 2 days after receiving a diagnosis, an ultrasound this morning confirmed that her battle with Cytomegalovirus was over, and her beautiful heart was no longer beating.
I have carried her for 21 weeks, and now will continue to do so until we schedule an induction, or labor happens naturally, whichever comes first. We haven’t made any decisions about that yet, but will be giving it careful thought over the next few days and discussing our options in more depth with my doctor early next week.
Thank you for all of your prayers and thoughts over this past week. Please continue to pray for our family as we find strength in the Lord to face the imminent stillbirth of our baby girl.
